Screaming Speedometer Android App by wikiSPEEDia.org
Screaming Speedometer Android App
Screaming Speedometer Android App lets you know when you’re breaking the speed limit. Granny screams at you if you’re driving too fast. This app features six annoying audio taunts, plus a steampunk design that combines nostalgia and high tech (along with disturbing granny images). Screaming Speedometer Android App not only shows your speed, but the speed limit. See if you can find the Bazooka Granny.
Screaming Speedometer contains speed limits from wikiSPEEDia.org’s database, which includes all the roads in the US, UK, Norway, Australia, and Germany. It’s easy to edit wrong speed limits for your personal use. This app makes a great safety-project for passengers and drivers alike.
To use Screaming Speedometer, turn on your Android device’s GPS and then just drive around. It takes a mile or two, but eventually the black-needle shows the posted speed limit. The red-needle shows your speed. To adjust a sign that is wrong, just tap the screen to change the speedlimit (L=dn, R=up, 0=delete). These updates are automatically added to the database. To silence grandma, tap on the screen while she is visible. After one minute of inactivity, the app turns-off to save battery power.
